                             Da Vinci's Genius
                        Pictures within Pictures

Outside the box, Outside the frame.

For over five hundred years the world has been trying to find hidden
messages or a “code” hidden within Leonardo da Vinci’s works to no
avail, until 2005 when Leonardo’s true genius and “code” was
discovered by Michael W. Domoretsky, not within his artworks but,
outside the box, outside the frame.

Though da Vinci’s art works in and of themselves are world class,
even they do not do justice to his genius now coming to light in
encryptions he embedded within and outside the artworks.

His unparalleled knowledge in science of all types; biology,
mechanics, botany, physics, mathematics, architecture, structural
engineering, and his innate creative inventiveness and ingenuity,
allowed him, not only to create some of the greatest artworks ever
produced, but to subtly weave his messages into the works using
optical illusions and a mirror image process known only to him at that
time and remaining hidden for over five centuries.
This website presents  and documents some of the discoveries made
by The da Vinci Project, Research Group
of the many secrets hidden
within Leonardo’s art and written manuscripts, (codices.)

We strongly encourage readers to review the findings and give them fair
consideration, forming an opinion based on their own research and
perspective. We welcome all serious, civil responses to the findings, in
the negative as well as positive.

We do not claim to interpret or find reasons as to why the appearance of
any anomalies occurs.  We point out those things that appear to have
been included in da Vinci’s work.  We are not in a position to know the
why or wherefore of reasons for any of the findings to have been
created.  We simply point out occurrences of anomalies that appear to
exist.  Some of them will have a higher probability of being intentional
inclusions than others.  There is much about da Vinci that is not known
and may never be known, but what is known is that almost everything
he did was done with a purpose in mind, and little done by accident.
Whether or not he had some knowledge of the English language or left
a specific message or messages using a written and/or coded imagery
are not within our mission to determine.

Having found dozens of hidden, imbedded images and constructs of
various types that appear to have a very high probability of deliberate
creation, any single finding whether an optical illusion, picture within
picture or constructed image will have some people feel them to be real
while others feel that they are highly questionable. There are arguments
of varied validity using a wide variety of information in support of
positions on both sides of the investigation relevant to the findings.   We
leave the deliberation of validity and interpretation of all findings to any
who deem it worth their while to investigate and discuss it.

We have received many well thought out and researched comments in
emails on both sides of arguments and take no position.  In the end, the
final determination will come from viewers and other scholars.

In the future it is our intention to create a comparative analysis matrix on
each finding, giving the public’s and when possible, the academic level
of acceptance or probability for each finding.

Again, we thank all who are taking an interest for taking the time to
consider the findings; as such discourse is valuable to all who are
interested in the subject.
